This gave a lot of insight into the Queens and some of the houses in Fennbirn。We finally get to see what Mirabella references to when she meets up with her sisters， asking them if they remembered their time together at the Black Cottage。 It is horrible how they tear the girls apart and then distort their minds so that they can kill each other without remorse。 I enjoyed seeing the dynamic of the three， as well as how they coped with their new lives。This whole book made me realize my hatred for th This gave a lot of insight into the Queens and some of the houses in Fennbirn。We finally get to see what Mirabella references to when she meets up with her sisters， asking them if they remembered their time together at the Black Cottage。 It is horrible how they tear the girls apart and then distort their minds so that they can kill each other without remorse。 I enjoyed seeing the dynamic of the three， as well as how they coped with their new lives。This whole book made me realize my hatred for the Arrons。 They are so power hungry and the root of most problems on the Island。 The way Francesca manipulated everything around Elsabet made my blood boil。 It truly was a moment of the winner writes the history。 。。。more

After listening to the first book on audio， it was nice to read these novellas。 Especially The Young Queens， getting to see the girls when they were younger。 It was a bit of a shocker that the Queen named Arsinoe the poisoner and Katharine the naturalist but then switched them to the others gift。 I wondered how they ended up with the wrong families since we find out Arsinoe is immune to poison in Three Dark Queens。The Oracle Queen was an interesting read as well。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I personally loved the young queens novella and thought it did an amazing job of showing how the queens were raised， plus on how Arsionoe and Katharine were switched。 However， I didn’t love the Oracle queen。 It seemed somewhat confusing， and it was difficult to feel connected to any of the characters。

The Young Queens2。5/5 stars - This gives the backstory of the three queens from their birth， to their forgetting each other after being separated， to Arsinoe trying to escape。 It fills in some of the details， like their mother's motives in switching the labels for Katharine and Arsinoe at birth， and it was interesting to see Mirabelle and how she is the only one who doesn't really forget， and how each of their families twisted their opinions of the others in order to get them to hate one ano The Young Queens2。5/5 stars - This gives the backstory of the three queens from their birth， to their forgetting each other after being separated， to Arsinoe trying to escape。 It fills in some of the details， like their mother's motives in switching the labels for Katharine and Arsinoe at birth， and it was interesting to see Mirabelle and how she is the only one who doesn't really forget， and how each of their families twisted their opinions of the others in order to get them to hate one another。That being said， I was kind of a little bored with the whole thing and I feel like this could have been integrated within the story itself without the need for a whole separate novella about it。 The Oracle Queen2。5/5 stars - This was a lot darker than I was expecting， telling the story of Elsabet and the cruelty and corruption of the council， painting her as the mad queen。 Also， did anyone else pick up on the fact that it was basically implied she was repetitively raped whilst in captivity until she had the next set of triplets？ Because I did， and it is actually despicable what she went through， and I really felt for her plight。 It goes to show that there are darker forces at work and the queens do not actually hold any power， which Three Dark Crowns hinted at， but The Oracle Queen really brought home。 Whilst it was interesting seeing this， the story itself was kind of slow though and I didn't care over much about the characters。 。。。more

I really enjoyed peaking into the lives of the queens before where we started in book one and getting to learn more about the Mad Queen。 However， I do wish that it was longer。 I felt as though there were large gaps and that what we did get left a lot out。 The book was interesting but felt more like afterthoughts about the character backstories of the three queens。

And with this novella book， my time with the “Queens of Fennbirn” is officially over。。。 once again I thanked @andreialovebooks for her company through these two tales of love， betrayal， fear and friendship。The first one， “The Oracle Queen”， follows the real story of what happened to the last Oracle Queen of Fennbirn， Elsabet。 It’s a tragic tale of love and betrayal， a Queen who only wished to love and be loved， and instead， got pushed to far to be ever be able to come back again。The last story， And with this novella book， my time with the “Queens of Fennbirn” is officially over。。。 once again I thanked @andreialovebooks for her company through these two tales of love， betrayal， fear and friendship。The first one， “The Oracle Queen”， follows the real story of what happened to the last Oracle Queen of Fennbirn， Elsabet。 It’s a tragic tale of love and betrayal， a Queen who only wished to love and be loved， and instead， got pushed to far to be ever be able to come back again。The last story， “The Young Queens”， gives us a glimpse of the Queens Mirabella， Arsinoe and Katharine’s birth， their departure at 6 years old， well into their teenager years。 These story made me even more sad and heartbroken for the fate that awaits this young， sweet and innocent Queens， and I have to warn you， Kendare Blake does not soften any blow in this book or in this two new tales of the “Queens of Fennbirn”！A must have companion for those who already love and follow the lives of these young Queens， a read that will need a strong heart and lots of tissue paper！ 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 por enquanto é o fim de fennbirn nos livros pra mim， e esses contos realmente fecharam com chave de ouro hahahaha eu fiquei bem chateada com a história da rainha oráculo e como tanta traição e vaidade levou basicamente à destruição da dadiva dos oráculos， e os contos das rainhas foram fofos e tristes （principalmente a separação e a katherine）。 espero que a kendare blake lance mais livros de contos desse mundo fantástico！ <3

I normally don’t read novellas， but I couldn’t get enough of this series。 I loved reading about the young queens and revisiting them。 I would have liked to see maybe more detail about them and their upbringing， but since it has to be short I under that not much detail can be put into it。 The Oracle Queen is a great story that can show how you never know who to trust and even then things can be twisted。
